Listen

We talk 
but you do not listen.
we tell you
but you ignore.
we try to explain
but you brush it off.
we cry
but you do not hear.

you scoff
and say that nothing is wrong,
that we are okay.

watch out
we will be gone one day.

Brain Dead

I thought that I have chased the demons away

The cobwebs that slowly crept in my brain

The fog that covers my mind

The emptiness, the blank, the hollow.

But – 

They’re back

Or maybe

They never left.

I used to have a life

I used to have feelings

I used to have friends

 I used to have dreams

I used to have my own thoughts

I used to make my own decisions

I used to be happy

I used to be me.
